Dermoid Cyst in the Oral Floor

Abstract
|
|
|
Dermoid cyst is a form of cystic teratoma, derived principally from embryonic ger-minal epithelium.
In this paper, the author presents a case of dermoidcyt occurred in the oral floor of a 22 years old Korean female.
Dermoid cyst occurs in ovary and testis most frequently and its occurrence in the head and neck region is comparatively a few.
But within the head and neck region, the oral floor is the most common site of occurrence of dermoid cyst.
The cyst was removed surgically and confirmed to be a dermoid cyst histopatholog-ically.
